Investment…

03 Jul

I’ve decided by the time I am 24 I’d like to have an investment house. I’d also at some stage like to get on the stock market and have a go at investing in shares. I guess those two things are very common investments. But there is so much in life that we ‘invest in’, it may not have money returns but it’s still an investment. We so commonly invest time and emotions into things. Like I said above some things don’t have money returns, so often after what we have invested time and emotions into is gone we feel like we have gained nothing.

But if we went through life with this attitude, wouldn’t we end up never investing time and emotions in anything to avoid this feeling? But is it possible to get through life without investing time and emotions in to things? I mean, it would be possible to get through life with minimal emotional and time investment but none at all would be pretty tough. I don’t think we even realize the things we invest in; you put time and emotions into friendships and relationships, you invest in yourself through education, recreations, hobbies and work.  So much is gained and yes there is the possibility for great loss. But does at times the benefits outweigh the possible losses?

There is so much to be learnt from so many different things in life, I love to look for the lesson in everything in life. Nothing that happens to you has no lesson, yes, in the midst of the situation you may not be able to see what on earth you could learn from it, but just wait a few days, weeks, months or years and you’ll find the lesson.

So, invest carefully, but its better to have risked an investment than to have never risked at all.
